General Rv Center - I would probably do this with someone else

Update by user Jul 28

To be clear, there are some very nice people at General RV. The staff at the front waits on you immediately.

The people you talk to are polite, professional and cheerful. But all of this turns out to be lip service if the above is not supported by appropriate and...

Grand Design Rv in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - Poor Quility

we bought our 2018 2970 in November of last year, and have had nothing but problems the door was scratched, the heater didn't work and this was at the time of delivery. Opened the dresser drawers to turn on the hot water heater and the drawers fell down only to find that they put the guides in with staples and missed most of them with staples. I did speak with the service manager at grand design and he is sending replacement part and was willing to set up service with a local company other then taking it back to the dealer where I bought it.

Grand Design Rv - Fridge and belly storage

I feel your pain! We bought a new solitude 41 ft. In December of 2016 and have had trouble with our fridge. It ice up also and stops working and blows the fuse. We took it in for repairs and they said nothing was wrong. Right still having trouble. Service on them is impossible. Our service department stinks. We have also discovered water damage in our large belly compartment by the gas tank entry door side due to lack of caulking underneath so beware and check this area closely.

We have had the Solitude for 2 years - living in it during the winter months in Florida; traveling and camping during the summer. We love the rig, and have had many compliments on it. It is a large camper, and we sometimes were unable to park in some of the smaller RV...

Thank you for your positive review. My wife and I are in the process of searching for the right 5th wheel for extended stay. We are leaning to GD vs DRV for our selection, specifically the 373 model or the 399, space is a concern for storage.

You don't have to use antifreeze to winterize it. open the low point drains and blow them out.

Actually I drain the water out of the lines, including the water heater. Then I put the antifreeze in the tank and run it through the faucets.

I almost always do more than I have to. But I didn't add the antifreeze two years in a row and didn't have a problem just blowing out the lines.
