If you are looking into buying a new Grand Design Trailer you might want to rethink and look around more at other makes. I was told Grand Design was a good trailer.

We bought a 2017 Grand Design Reflection 5th wheel 303 RLS in October 2016. Four months after we bought it we had to have the floor replace in the kitchen, living room area. We notice a soft spot between the kitchen island and the dinette. Either poor substandard materials and poor workmanship.

Grand Design fix the problem under warranty. Then one month today (on August 15th) we had left for our vacation up north and 3 miles west of Denton, Texas, the left rear tire came off the trailer shearing all the lug bolts. We turned around and headed to dealership where we bought it. We were 15 miles from there and about half way there on the service road of I 35 the front left tire came off.

To make a long story short, Grand Design would not stand behind their product even though there was a Recall #15V-212 affecting 2015/2016 Reflection for defected Tru-Ryde axle hubs. Recall stated "axle hubs may shear or break. If the axle hub studs were to shear while trailer is being towed the potential exists for wheel separation from trailer". This is exactly what happened to us but no help from Grand Design.

I have RVed for 35 plus years and this trailer is #6 and I have never had this happen. Thought this would be my last trailer....not sure anymore.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $6300.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Location: Denton, TX, USA

I sympathize with these folks as I have had similar problems with a new 201* 337RLS..bad Chinese grease seals caused all the brakes to become saturated with grese...even before I took possession.Did the dealer in Pasco,Washington...Blue Dog RV do anything about it..NO.A list of problems with this rig added up to over a 100...most I have had to fix myself as selling dealer never once offered to help.Buyer beware of anything Grand Design sells...especially since Winnebago took them over.
